Dive photos 2004

<7.12.2004>
I'm expecting Santa to bring me some nice new diving gear like a scooter, new Suunto D9 computer and a rebreather this christmas. I've written to him several times and I think I've been a good boy. I really feel I deserve them and if he fails, I won't believe in him any more and will not hold myself from diving sordid in front of the gnomes (I think they are Santa's little helpers) guarding some of the Ojamo caves any more.

 I haven't shot as much photos as last year because the visibilities have been quite sad at the wreck sites and I think there are already enough Ojamo photos here from 28m level for now. Anyway, I'll add some new ones and we'll discover new caves to us at 38m level and deeper.. Only 70 dives logged this year so far and half of them in Ojamo. I think I'll double it next year, it all depends on Santa though...

Hi everyone! Summer is here and I'm getting a bit stressed up because M/Y deCoisa is still sooo half done. Most of the boats in Suomenoja are already in water but I still have a long way to go. Actually, deCoisa would only need another coat of anti-fouling on the bottom and a new prop to be fairly goog to be dropped in but I want to rub the sides as well to make it really shine before doing so. Also, working on the motor, electrical wirings, hoses etc. is a lot easier while it is still on dock. I've felt for some time that I've had a bit too big bite at once but it's easing now when I can actually see some results. All the wirings, most of the insulations and hoses, the new instrument panel, some paint work etc. is still undone but I'm working on them every night.
I will update the deCoisa site at least once a week until I've completed all of the work I've planned, so please come back. And hey, the guest book is still here.

M/Y deCoisa looks pretty cold and lonely lying on a trailer in the snow. I made a serious promise to myself to work on renewing the electrical wirings, sanding the bottom, etc. by April this year and now it looks like I'm really in a hurry. -"It's a beautiful weekend for diving and we have a long and sunny spring ahead. I'll have plenty of time for working on the boat on the coming weekends." Well, a couple of more of these phrases and I'll end up either crying on the dock or spending all summer fixing a floating boat, not driving it.

deCoisa's engine is still being repaired at Styyrpinna. The engine has been quite ok exept that it has run a little rough at idle and leaked some oil. Probably adjusting the injection nozzles, replacing the piston rings and crankshaft bearings and all the gaskets will do it. After all, engine´s earlier life in a  harvester machine and a boat has not been heavy at all. I haven't updated my boating pages for a while but I will as the project proceeds. And I do update this page quite regularely. Please come back. And do not forget to sign my guestbook. OK?
